PIRMCCM

The Pacific Islands Regional Multi-Country Coordinating Mechanism (PIRMCCM) was first established in September 2002, as a result to fulfil the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (The Global Fund) grant oversight requirements.

The PIRMCCM is composed of 24 representatives of 12 Pacific Islands Countries and Territories (PICTs) that have applied to at least one of the three regional grants funded by the Global Fund. The PIRMCCM also included in its membership 1 representative of People Living with HIV and 14 representatives of regional organizations. Currently, the PIRMCCM performs its role as the oversight body for three grants:

  1. Multi-country Western Pacific Round 7 HIV grant (MWP R7 HIV);
  2. Multi-country Western Pacific Round 7 Tuberculosis grant (MWP R7 TB); and,
  3. Multi-country Western Pacific Rolling Continuation Channel Malaria grant (MWP MRCC).
