Pacific Response Fund Committee (PRFC) is the governing body which accesses and oversees the transparent management of funding assistance received from Pacific Islands HIV and STI Response Fund 2009 – 2013 (Response Fund) for the small island states (SIS) of the Pacific region. The Response Fund is a multi-donor pooled funding mechanism that supports implementation of national and regional HIV strategic plans. Australia and New Zealand currently contribute to the Response Fund. The PRFC currently has 11 members and has recently selected an independent Chairperson. Members include representatives from PICT government, people living with or effected by HIV, civil society organisations, youth organisations, donors, the UN family, SPC, and one person with the capacity of voicing the importance of taking gender specific analysis into account. Together this diverse group carries the responsibility of strategic guidance, management and oversight of the funding assistance. |
